Sound Thinking oriented for SPATIAL
We were called to study and rethink the levels of intelligibility and pleasantness of the international terminal from one of Latin America’s biggest airports, GRU.
What is the role of sound in such a busy environment that mixes different people from different countries and with different perceptions and life experiences?
In order to perfectly understand such a complex environment, we used our Sound Thinking method.
The airport became our environment: we visited it many times to explore every single detail, positive or negative, and evaluate its impact on people’s routines. We studied and listened closely to the airports behavior: equipments, clients, workers and others
After decoding the main sound challenges of the environment, we assembled a team with specific intelligences to co-create efficient solutions to each sensible point. Solutions that were capable of amplifying the use of sound for the good of brand and people.
We diagnosed and presented a series of strategic, technical, practical and educational solutions that not only can be efficient to impact the sound experience at the Terminal but can also serve to maintain all the hearable experience in good balance.
More than just delivering ideas, we were capable of expanding the client’s sound perception, showing them how sound is capable of impacting the lives of those who walk around the terminal, giving them the tools to control this impact consciously.
